"Computer Systems in ASL"

Mary Luczki will be presenting this workshop for those interested in learning hot to talk about computers in ASL. Participants will get hands-on training and various parts and functions will be described and explained solely in ASL. NOTE: There will be no voicing, however a Q and A session at the end will be provided to help clarify principles discussed. Also, this workshop is limited to 12 participants. This event is good for 4 QA units and 0.4 RID CEU's
Saturday September 27, 2008 "Interpreting for Language Arts"

This workshop will be introducing participants how to interpret vocabulary and Language Arts concepts for school aged deaf students. Participants will be exposed to how deaf students acquire language arts information and how to interpret it in the best way for that student. They will be able to get a little bit of hands on interpreting time with peer and instructor feedback in a group setting.
Saturday October 4, 2008 "Automotive Mechanics in ASL"

10:00 am- 4:30 pm
Cost: Pre-Register $75/ At-Door $85
Mary Luzcki will be instructing this workshop on the various parts and functions of an automobile. She will be describing and explaining everything in ASL. NOTE: There will be no voicing for this workshop. However, a Q&A session just before lunch and at the end will be provided to help clarify principles discussed. Also, this workshop is limited to 12 participants. There also will be a thirty minute lunch break, it is recommended to bring a bag lunch for this workshop.
Discounts and Policies
Door Prize: The first 25 people who pre-register for any workshop held at the ASL Resource Center will be entered into a drawing for a door prize the day of the workshop.
Discount Policy: Deaf participants must pre-register to receive the 10% discount.
Accomodations Requests: If you need a voice or ASL interpreter, please contact us ahead of time so we can make that accommodation.
Car Pool Discount: Think Green and help save gas! Groups of 5 or more who register and come to workshops together will receive a $5.00 discount each.
Cancellation Policy: Pre-payment is not required to register for any workshop. However, should you pre-pay for a workshop and then become unable to attend, you may apply that money to a future workshop. Contact Kletha Goode with any questions.
