About Us

The ASL Resource Center offers a wide variety of services for both interpreters as well as the Deaf/H.H. community. Below are just a few of the activities and services that we have to offer.

Lessons & Mentoring
Private Lessons and Mentoring are available for Interpreter Training Program students, current interpreters, and others interested in improving their skills. QA Prep is available for everyone whether taking the test for the first time or retaking it.
Lessons are provided by a qualified Interpreter or a respected member of the Deaf community.
Lessons cover a wide variety of areas including: Observation, Fingerspelling, Receptive & Expressive Practice with Videos, ASL & Transliterating, Interpreting Practice in Real Life Simulations and Situations, QA Preparation and more.
Hours are flexible and designed to fit around your schedule.

Workshops
Workshops are provided for both interpreters and the Deaf/H.H. community. The ASL Resource Center is also proud to host the monthly IIG (Interpreter Improvement Guild) meetings. These are held the 2nd Friday of every month from 5 pm – 8 pm. IIG meetings are free for all to attend and strongly supported by our local Deaf/H.H. friends.
More workshops are planned for the future. Please visit our website for details.

Deaf Staff & Visitors
We have several Deaf on staff who are available at different times during the week. Also our front lobby is equipped with a public video phone booth which was generously donated by Communication Access Center and Interpreter Growth & Development, LLC. Any and all Deaf/H.H. are welcome to come make use of the video phone; our staff are available to assist as needed.
Our offices are open for the Deaf Community to host parties and/or promote their businesses. The space is free to use in exchange for allowing our mentoring/tutoring students to interpret these events for you.
